Remote | A high-growth enterprise technology partner is building its commercial function and looking for an experienced new business professional to help drive its next stage of growth.

About the company:
  • A highly regarded enterprise technology partner helping large organisations design, build and scale complex, mission-critical software platforms.

  • The business combines deep software engineering expertise with modern cloud, platform and digital transformation capabilities.

  • It has built an excellent reputation through delivery, technical quality and long-term customer partnerships rather than relying heavily on marketing.

  • Several initial projects have developed into major strategic relationships generating significant recurring annual revenue.

  • The company works with large organisations across the UK and internationally.

  • It is entering an exciting growth phase and investing in building a high-performing commercial function from the ground up.

  • You will join a technically strong, founder-led environment with an established delivery capability and outstanding customer references.

About the role:
  • Build a new pipeline of enterprise opportunities across the UK.

  • Identify, research and prospect medium-sized and large organisations with complex technology environments.

  • Create opportunities from scratch rather than relying on an inherited territory or a high volume of inbound leads.

  • Engage senior technical decision-makers, including CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Engineering, platform leaders and Heads of Software Engineering.

  • Develop targeted outbound strategies that generate qualified enterprise meetings.

  • Map complex accounts and build relationships with multiple technical, commercial and executive stakeholders.

  • Own opportunities from initial outreach through discovery, qualification and progression.

  • Work closely with founders and senior technical leaders throughout the sales process.

  • Bring technical specialists into solution design, discovery sessions, presentations and complex pre-sales conversations.

  • Position the company as a strategic technology partner rather than a transactional development supplier.

  • Represent the business at customer meetings, networking events and relevant industry conferences.

  • Help shape the company’s outbound methodology, commercial strategy and wider go-to-market approach.

  • Play a central role in building the sales engine and influencing how the commercial function develops.

  • Work remotely across the UK, with regular customer travel and occasional travel to a regional office.

Your previous experience:
  • A strong track record of winning new enterprise customers through outbound prospecting and self-generated pipeline.

  • Experience selling complex technology solutions, software or professional services into medium-sized and large organisations.

  • A background in enterprise SaaS, software engineering services, systems integration, cloud, DevOps, developer tools or technical consulting would be highly relevant.

  • Credibility engaging senior technical stakeholders, including CTOs, CIOs, engineering leaders and platform decision-makers.

  • Experience opening difficult enterprise accounts where no established relationship previously existed.

  • Evidence of developing outbound strategies that have consistently generated qualified opportunities.

  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.

  • A consultative approach with the commercial awareness to uncover customer challenges and position value-led solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder mapping, account planning and relationship-building capabilities.

  • Confidence working autonomously while collaborating closely with founders, engineers and technical specialists.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish credibility quickly.

  • A proactive, resilient and creative approach to new business development.

  • The determination to find a route into target accounts rather than waiting for opportunities to appear.

  • Comfortable operating within an evolving commercial environment where processes are still being built.

  • Motivated by the opportunity to influence a sales function rather than simply work within an established structure.

Package:
  • £100,000–£150,000 base salary DOE.

  • Uncapped commission.

  • Potential future equity opportunity.

  • UK remote working.

  • Frequent travel to customer sites across the UK.

  • Occasional travel to a regional company office.

  • Direct access to founders and senior technical leadership.

  • The opportunity to join an established technology business at an important stage of growth.

  • A highly visible role with genuine influence over the future direction of the commercial function.
